AI Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026
Wirehead Corporation (“Wirehead”) uses artificial intelligence to power AI Match, a feature that helps recruiters and enterprise clients quickly assess how well a candidate's experience aligns with a specific job posting. This AI Policy explains how this technology works, what data is used, how scores are applied, and your rights as a candidate.
1. What Is AI Match?
AI Match is an AI-powered relevance score generated for each candidate–job-posting pair. The score is a numerical indicator (expressed as a percentage match) that reflects how closely a candidate's professional background — as described in their uploaded resume — aligns with the requirements of a specific I&IT contract role posted on the Wirehead platform.
AI Match is designed to help recruiters and enterprise clients surface the most relevant profiles from a large pool of candidates more efficiently. It is one input in the evaluation process, not a sole or determinative basis for hiring decisions.
2. How AI Match Works
When you upload a resume and apply for a role (or when your profile is matched against a posting), the following process occurs:
- Resume parsing: the text content of your uploaded resume is extracted by our platform.
- Job description extraction: the relevant fields from the job posting (title, required skills, experience, clearance level, and contract vehicle requirements) are compiled.
- AI scoring: the extracted resume text and job description are submitted together to the Anthropic API (Claude Haiku) with a structured prompt asking the model to assess alignment across key dimensions including technical skills, years of experience, domain relevance, and clearance compatibility. If Anthropic returns an error, the same request is automatically failed over to the OpenAI API (GPT-4o) so a score can still be returned.
- Score generation: the model returns a structured response that our platform converts into a numerical AI Match score and a brief rationale.
- Score display: the score is displayed to Wirehead recruiters and, where applicable, to authorised enterprise client users reviewing shortlisted candidates.
3. What Data Is Sent to Anthropic and OpenAI
We take a privacy-by-design approach to our AI integration. Only the following data is transmitted to the Anthropic API (primary) or the OpenAI API (failover):
- Resume text: the plain-text content extracted from your uploaded resume document. This includes your work history, skills, education, and any other professional information you have included in your resume.
- Job posting details: the text of the relevant job posting, which is not personal information.
We do not send to Anthropic or OpenAI:
- your name or contact information (email address, phone number);
- your account credentials or session data;
- your security clearance status beyond what you have written in your resume;
- your billing rate or financial information;
- any information you have not voluntarily included in your resume document.
Anthropic processes API-submitted data under its Commercial Terms of Service. Anthropic does not use data submitted via the API to train or improve its models. OpenAI processes API-submitted data under its Business Terms. OpenAI does not use data submitted via the API to train its models.
4. How Scores Are Used
AI Match results are used as follows:
- Recruiter screening: Wirehead account managers use the score to prioritise candidate outreach and shortlisting for specific roles.
- Client shortlists: enterprise clients who receive a shortlist of candidates may see the AI Match score alongside the candidate profile to aid their evaluation.
- Platform ranking: candidate search results within the Wirehead platform may be ordered in part based on AI Match relevance for a given posting.
Important limitations: AI Match is a guidance tool only. It reflects algorithmic assessment of text alignment and does not account for factors such as interpersonal fit, references, interview performance, or government-specific procurement requirements. The score is never the sole basis for a hiring or contracting decision. All final selection decisions are made by human recruiters and/or Client representatives.
5. Accuracy and Bias Considerations
AI language models, including Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's GPT-4o, can reflect biases present in their training data. While we have designed our scoring prompts to focus on objective, skills-based criteria, we acknowledge that no AI system is entirely free of bias.
We mitigate this risk by:
- limiting scoring inputs to skills, experience, and job requirements rather than demographic information;
- requiring human review of all shortlists before they are shared with clients;
- continuously monitoring scoring outcomes for patterns that may indicate systematic bias; and
- providing candidates with the right to request human review (see Section 6).
6. Your Rights Regarding AI Scoring
As a candidate on the Wirehead platform, you have the following rights with respect to AI Match:
- Right to be informed: you have the right to know that AI scoring is applied to your resume when you use the Platform. This Policy fulfils that obligation.
- Right to opt out: you may opt out of AI-powered resume scoring at any time by contacting privacy@wirehead.com. If you opt out, your profile will not receive an AI Match score and will be reviewed manually by a Wirehead account manager. Opting out may affect the speed with which your application is reviewed.
- Right to human review: if you believe an AI Match score inaccurately reflects your qualifications for a specific role, you may request that a Wirehead account manager conduct a manual review of your application. Submit this request to privacy@wirehead.com with the relevant job reference number.
- Right to explanation: you may request a plain-language explanation of the factors that contributed to your AI Match score for a specific role. We will provide this within 10 business days.
- Right to correction: if your resume contains inaccurate information that affected your score, you may update your resume at any time through your account profile. Updated information will be used in subsequent scoring runs.
7. Data Retention for AI Scoring
AI Match results are stored alongside your application record and retained in accordance with the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy. Intermediate data transmitted to and received from the Anthropic or OpenAI APIs is not stored by Wirehead beyond the immediate scoring transaction.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AI Policy as our use of AI technology evolves or as regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. The current version of this Policy is always available at wirehead.com/ai-policy.
