Accessibility
Effective date: June 25, 2026
Wirehead Corporation (“Wirehead”) is committed to ensuring that the Wirehead platform is accessible to all users, including persons with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement describes our current accessibility posture, our commitments under applicable Canadian law, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
1. Our Commitment
Wirehead is committed to making our digital services accessible to everyone. We believe that accessible design benefits all users and is a foundational element of good software. We are actively working to ensure that the Wirehead platform meets or exceeds the requirements of:
- The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA requirements that apply to public-facing websites.
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the current internationally recognised standard for web accessibility, which addresses a wider range of disabilities including cognitive, language, and learning disabilities, and improves accessibility for mobile users.
- The Accessible Canada Act and the Canadian Human Rights Act, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability.
2. Current Accessibility Features
The Wirehead platform currently incorporates the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML: we use semantic HTML5 elements (headings, landmarks, lists, labels) to provide structure that is readable by assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse.
- Focus management: visible focus indicators are provided on all interactive elements to assist keyboard and switch-access users.
- Colour contrast: our colour palette is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components), enforced in CI via Lighthouse and axe-core.
- Responsive design: the Platform adapts to different screen sizes and supports browser text-size adjustments without loss of content or functionality.
- Alternative text: meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked appropriately.
- Form accessibility: all form fields have associated labels and descriptive error messages.
- Reduced motion: animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion: reducefor users who have requested reduced motion at the OS level.
3. Bilingual Accessibility
Canada's official bilingualism is central to our mission. The Wirehead platform is available in both English and Canadian French. Our commitment to bilingual accessibility means:
- All user-facing content is available in both official languages and can be toggled at any time using the language selector in the navigation bar.
- Assistive technology users can access content in their preferred official language, including screen reader announcements, form labels, and error messages.
- Alternative format documents requested under this Accessibility Statement will be provided in the requester's preferred official language.
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, we acknowledge that some areas of the Platform are still being improved. Known limitations include:
- PDF documents generated by the Platform (such as AI-tailored resumes) may not be fully tagged for all screen readers. We are working with the jsPDF library to improve the accessibility of generated documents. In the meantime, write to accessibility@wirehead.com and we will send a tagged version within two business days.
- Some third-party embedded components (including Google reCAPTCHA) are not fully under our control and may not meet all WCAG criteria. We are evaluating alternative approaches such as Cloudflare Turnstile.
We are committed to addressing these limitations as part of our ongoing accessibility improvement programme.
5. How to Report an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Wirehead platform, or if you require content in an alternative format, please contact us:
Accessibility Feedback
Email: accessibility@wirehead.com
Please include in your message:
- a description of the accessibility barrier you encountered;
- the URL or section of the Platform where you encountered the issue;
- the assistive technology or browser you are using (if applicable); and
- your preferred method of contact for our response.
We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days and aim to resolve the reported barrier or provide an accessible alternative within 10 business days.
6. Alternative Format Requests
If you require any content from the Wirehead platform in an alternative format (such as large print, Braille-ready format, plain language summary, or audio description), please contact accessibility@wirehead.com and we will work with you to provide the content in a format that meets your needs, at no additional charge, in your preferred official language.
7. Accessibility Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Wirehead Corporation conducts periodic accessibility reviews of the Platform. User feedback is an essential part of our improvement process. We welcome feedback from users with disabilities and from accessibility professionals.
We are committed to meeting the requirements of the AODA's multi-year accessibility plan and will publish updates to this Accessibility Statement as our compliance posture evolves.
8. Third-Party Content
The Wirehead platform may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (including Google reCAPTCHA for bot protection on public forms). We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party websites or services and encourage you to review their respective accessibility statements.
