Wirehead uses standard industry practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your Personal Information. Wirehead treats this data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Wirehead stores most of its electronic and paper documents at its head office in Toronto, Canada.

Unfortunately, perfect security does not exist on the Internet, and therefore, Wirehead makes no representations or warranties with regard to the sufficiency of these security measures with respect to on–line activities.

Retention of your personal information

Wirehead will only keep your Personal Information for as long as it is required for internal business purposes and in order to satisfy various accounting and legal requirements. When we no longer require your Personal Information, we will take steps to ensure that is destroyed, or that your personally identifiable information is removed.

Terminology

Aggregate – this is when all data is collected and processed as a total to enable us to look at such information as demographic and geographic trends, so that we can try to produce a better service in the future.

Archiving – this is the process where candidate users are asked if they want their personal data to remain on the Wirehead.com database. If a user does not indicate that they wish their details to be retained, their record is deleted from the database. This means that the candidate will not be able to sign in to Wirehead.com and also means that their details will not be accessible by any recruiters using Wirehead.ca. Please note this process is carried out in accordance with the Employment Agencies Act and the Data Protection Act.

Data – information which is being processed by equipment operating automatically in response to instructions given for that purpose, is recorded with the intention that it should be processed by means of such equipment, is recorded as part of a relevant filing system or with the intention that it should form part of a relevant filing system or forms part of an accessible record.

Personal data – data which relates to a living individual who can be identified from those data, or from those data and other information which is in the possession of, or is likely to come into the possession of, Wirehead.

Privacy policy – this is a statement by Wirehead, which explains the ways that we try to protect our users’ privacy.

Recruitment process – the process of gaining employment and recruiting new staff and the ongoing administrative process involved once a user has gained employment or recruited new staff.

Wirehead – Wirehead Corporation Canada and its subsidiary/associated companies.

Third Parties – these are companies and people other than Wirehead and the group of companies of which it is part.

Users – people who use our website and register their details with us for the purposes of recruitment, either to gain employment or for the purposes of recruiting new staff.
