Requirements: What you’ll need
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
Deliverables:
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
• UX and Service Designer skills – 45 points (weighted score)
• 5+ years experience in Digital Service Design
• 5+ years experience in Digital UX Design and Research
• Demonstrated experience in conducting users research and user consultation
• Demonstrated experience in Evidence- and context-based design. Has experience in designing systems for use across multiple services and can identify the simplest of a variety of approaches.
• Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost effective service delivery approaches
• Demonstrated experience in Ontario Design System https://designsystem.ontario.ca/
• Demonstrated experience conducting iterative design proof-of-concepts / wireframes in Figma or other tools
• Demonstrated experience in AODA act 2005 for WCAG elements implementation https://www.ontario.ca/page/about-accessibility-laws
Business Analysis skills:
• Experience in managing user stories with Agile, SCRUM, Lean, DevOps methodologies
• Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined•
• Develops strategies, prepares business cases and cost-benefit analysis, and conducts feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives
• Develops sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, etc.
• Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects
• Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders
• Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up
• Experience conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement
Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience reporting progress on deliverables to team, project leads and management, including proactively raising risks/issues with migrations
• Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change request are complete
Agile Experience:
• Experience with Agile scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated experience with agile sprint management, bug tracking and testing life cycle management using Azure DevOps
• Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically QA processes in agile development environments
Design Validation:
• Demonstrated experience conducting validation and verification of all design elements on webpages
• Demonstrated experience conducting Ontario Design System validation for each UI object https://designsystem.ontario.ca/
Experience with Service design and User research with First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and urban Indigenous:
• Previous experience working with First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and urban Indigenous
• Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations
