On behalf of our Public Sector client, Wirehead has a new contract opportunity for a Project Control Officer / Project Coordinator.
Requirements: What you’ll need
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
Deliverables:
• Provide assistance to Managers, Project Managers and project team, in coordinating, planning, communicating, and executing the delivery of core project components.
• Manage project/work plans, tracking and analytics for the program/project execution.
• Responsible for creation and/or maintenance of management dashboards and executive summaries.
• Process Workflow Management from ticketing, and risk/issue management.
Skills
Core Skills and Experience
• 7 – 10 years of experience coordinating projects.
• Experience collaborating with various groups to gather updates and maintaining project budgeting, progress reporting, action items, risk management updates, etc.
• Experience working alongside Managers and Project Managers to provide updates, escalate issues where required, identify risks, and lead/coordinate project document deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment supporting multiple Project Managers and critical projects for mainframe/legacy systems.
• Experience developing project status reports and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs.
• Experience scheduling meetings.
• Experience facilitating meetings.
• Experience monitoring project document repository and ensuring all documents are reviewed and maintained in the repository.
Project Management Skills
• Demonstrated Project Management software skills and experience (e.g., MS Project, Planview, etc.).
• Understanding of Project Management concepts (e.g., project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning, cost and quality management).
General skills
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven troubleshooting and critical thinking experience.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strong listening skills to facilitate issue resolution.
• Effective consulting skills to engage with all stakeholders with proven track record for building strong working relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation and negotiation skills with ability to build rapport with stakeholders and drive negotiations to a successful outcome.
• Excellent customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy to ensure client needs are managed effectively.
• A motivated, flexible, detail-oriented and creative team player with perseverance, excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities, and a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines.
Nice to have:
• Experience working in the public sector on a mainframe/legacy system.
