Requirements: What you’ll need

Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
Deliverables:

• Requirements gathering and documentation.
• Design, implement and work with the project team in completing all relevant and required documentation in alignment with OPS standards
• Produce visual depiction of use cases and process flows; ensure alignment with the program area and associated business architecture, as well as traceability to solution logical and physical architectures
• Create system and user interface design and modifications (data & screen) as required
• Business Requirements Gathering Sessions
• Status Updates and Briefing Materials on Requirements
• Performance Measures and Traceability Matrixes
• Monitors progress, resolves problems, and reports updates to stakeholders
• Process Re-engineering
• Value Stream Mapping (when required)
• Process Mapping (Current State, Future State)
• Review all test scenarios and unit test to ensure the business requirements are met; establish traceability matrix to monitor output
• Ensure alignment and adherence to Ministry of Government Services’ processes and standards
• Support the testing team during system and UAT testing of the reports
• Participate in knowledge transfer

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 5 years of experience
• OPS Experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Creating detailed business analysis documents
• Outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
• Experience conducting requirements gathering, developing documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conducting stakeholder engagement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills; excellent facilitation and presentation skills
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

CRITERIA:

Criteria 1 – Business Analysis Skills (40 Points)

• Acquired 8+ years’ experience in business analysis
• Demonstrated experience facilitating JAD sessions
• Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) certification and/or demonstrated knowledge with the key BABOK concepts, tasks, techniques and skills.
• Demonstrated experience in creating Business Cases, Business Requirements Document, other Business requirements artefacts and testing documentation
• Demonstrated experience working on large systems implementation
• Working knowledge of system concepts and development methodologies to support business applications
• Demonstrated experience in project co-ordination and project management activities Working with stake holders in eliciting business requirements
• Documentation skills for business requirements and validate with business clients
• Ability to design and create technical specifications of the reports and validate with stake holders
• Experience working in Agile methodology
• Working experience in defining and validating test cases to ensure the requirements are met

Criteria 2 – Communication Skills (30 Points)

• Demonstrated experience in negotiating with business stakeholders on functional design issues and detailed solution design sessions, negotiating on issues for production
• Experience in documenting project status reports, project tracking for resources, finances, progress, issues and risks Writing skills, Negotiating skills
• Oral and written communication skills, Interpersonal and consultative skills, facilitation skills

Criteria 3 – Technical Skills (25 Points)

• Working knowledge of programming languages, Common operating systems, Software proficiency
• Demonstrated experience in developing documentation towards production readiness such as support model, SLAs and checklists
• Demonstrated experienced in unit testing, system testing and acceptance testing
• Demonstrated experience in solution design and architecture
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end handling project financials and resource management
• Demonstrated experience in defect identification and documentation using defect management tools
• Demonstrated experience with technical solution design and prototyping tools to facilitate JAD and design sessions
• Hands on experience in various project and product delivery methodologies such as:
• • Agile
• • Waterfall
• • Iterative Agile
• • Product management

Criteria 4 – Public Sector Experience (5 Points)

• Having a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Public Sector

Must haves:

• Acquired 8+ years’ experience in business analysis
