Our Government client is seeking One (1) I&IT Project Manager for a 6-month contract + extension located in downtown Toronto. 

Requirements: What you'll need


Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of demonstrated experience with managing enterprise projects, leading business and IT Project Management experience 
  • Experience with WebSphere Application Server, Oracle Database, J2EE 
  • Experience with network and desktop infrastructure procurement and implementation 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with complex IT systems. 
  • Experience with Java 1.5+ 
  • Strong technical background of IT systems. E.g. WebSphere Application Server, Oracle database, JEE, etc 
  • Understanding of OPS ITIL process including incident management, release management, problem management, support models, etc. 
  • A team player with a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful working relationships with partners and third party vendors 
  • Familiarity with Service Ontario business processes, gating procedures and business rules 
  • Knowledge of Ontario Government network and desktop infrastructure procurement, implementation and support models 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience with providing both Business and IT Project Leadership/Management
  • Experience with managing the expectations and requirements of senior partners and stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of OPS I&IT Standards and best practices during previous OPS I&IT project initiatives 




  • Manage and support the delivery of project. 
  • Maintain the project schedule current. 
  • Maintain financial forecast and tracking expenses. 
  • Notify Program Manager of any potential conflicts, issue, or variances in the schedule, finances or resources. 
  • Establish and manage a risk log. 
  • Coordinate the resolution of issues. 
  • Provide regular and adhoc project reports. 
  • Document proposed changes and manage the change request log. 
  • Provide expertise and consulting to related, dependent projects in order to meet program objectives. 
  • Obtain required sign-offs for all related deliverables 
  • Coordinate project meetings including issuing of agendas, documenting minutes and following up on action items with the team for all logistics activities 
  • Transfer knowledge to Full-Time resources as required. 
  • Experience with the management of logistics risks, changes, issues, time, scope and resources. 
  • Strong leadership and communications skills. 
  • Work collaboratively with teams and other Project Managers. 
  • This resource must have flexible availability as there may be occasions where work will be conducted after regular working hours and weekends.
