DESCRIPTION

Our Government client is seeking one (1) Application Architect for an 18-month contract located in downtown Toronto.

REQUIREMENTS - Technical Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically in maintaining and supporting systems such as Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Hospital Information Systems (HISs), Clinical Assessment tools, and Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) compliant Financial and Human Resource Management Systems¬†
  • Knowledge of personal health information protection legislative requirements and how they apply to developing and maintaining healthcare systems containing personal health information (PHI)
  • 5+ years of software and system integration experience in a multi-vendor environment
  • Development experience with integration technologies such as XML and SOAP
  • Development experience with the following technologies: SQL, PL-SQL, HTML, cascading style sheets, FOP files for PDF printing, XML, XSLT, XSL-FO, Java and JavaScript
  • Development experience with User Interface and Web Services, and corresponding architecture expertise
  • Experience working on large application integration and upgrade projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of integration techniques
  • Experience with master patient index, such as Initiate EMPI
  • Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models)
  • Experience with the Orion Product Suite (Rhapsody, Clinical Portal, Case Management and the Concerto Assessment Form)
  • Development experience with Rhapsody and Concerto
  • Strong technical leadership skills and experience
  • Effective facilitation skills; ability to build rapport with stakeholders and drive negotiations to a successful outcome
  • Proven track record for building strong working relationships
  • Excellent customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy to ensure client needs are managed effectively
  • Ability to apply strong listening skills to facilitate issue resolution
  • A motivated, flexible, creative team player with perseverance, excellent multi-tasking abilities and a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
